9 Day tour from casablanca to Merzouga desert
Day 1 : Casablanca – Rabat
In the morning we will arrive in Casablanca then we head to have a short visit to tour this commercial capital and also the biggest dock in Morocco. We will then head down to Rabat. We will then check in at our hotel. In the afternoon, we will take a tour, and this includes the Medina (old city), with its stone and white buildings that takes joy in large dark wooden doors with studs, the Hassan Tower, whose delicate stones are prevails the horizon; the Mahoma V Mausoleum that houses the onyx tomb of the late king and we will also see the walls of Mechouar that surround the Majestic Palace. Then we will head to our hotel for dinner and spend the night.
Day 2 : Rabat – Meknes – Fes
We will begin our day by journeying to Meknes and Fes, which called the World Heritage Site by UNESCO, around the 17th century alleyways around the Kairouine Mosque. This is said to be the university that is the oldest in the world. We will also take a trip to the surroundings of the tanners and observe a terrace with views of the tannery. We will then head back to the Riad.
Day 4 : Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Erg Chebbi
In the morning after breakfast we will commence our journey towards the dunes of the Erg Chebbi. We will pass through Ifrane – the Moroccan Switzerland, Azrou that besides its rich biodiversity that is represented by the famous cedar vegetation that is filled with special and unique species of butterflies that are rare in the world. The environment of Azrou are a center of amusement that we will get to enjoy before passing through Midelt. We will also pass through the Valley of Ziz and Errachidia, which is a modern urban center. When we leave these areas we will head to Merzouga in the desert to stay for the night at the Hotel.
Day 5 : Erg Chebbi sahara desert
We will watch the sunrise early in the morning, then have breakfast. We will spend tge day adventuring the Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi. We will observe the area and then head to a see the local Khamlia town of music. We wil enjoy tea here with a nomadic family. In the afternoon, we will ride our camels to catch the view of the beautiful sunset. We will then enter the Bivouac and we will stay the night in a Berber tent. We will be given our own space and we will enjoy dinner underneath the stars. This is an experience that we will never forget.
Day 6 : Erg Chebbi – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate
We will arose early in the morning to view the sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga. After this we will have an early morning travellers visit in Erfoud where we will get a chance to tour the fossilized marble factory and resume our journey towards the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. We will then head to one of the greatest points of the South, which is The Todra Gorges. The channel of the Todra River has made a valley of vertical walls of enormous proportions and of great beauty; it is the paradise of the climbers and on the way to Ouarzazate, we will get to see the city of Kelaat M’Gouna and then head to Boumalne. This area dominates the Valley of the Thousand Kasbahs. We will arrive in the night at Quarzazate, where we will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 7 : Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
On this day, after breakfast and prior to our to journey to Marrakech we will take a trip to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou where many movies were filmed, such as, “Lawrence of Arabia” “Babel” and “Gladiator”. We will then journey towards Marrakech on the mountains of the High Atlas through the pass of Tizi N’tichka. Along the side of the mountains, we will view some Berber villages and far lands. We will then head to Marrakech and spend the night in a raid.
Day 8 : Marrakech Guided Tour
We will spend the day adventuring and learnig about the beautiful Marrakech, a city blending Berber traditions with Arab renaissance and western influences. We will also get to see the Tombs of the Saadian Kings, the Dar Si Said Museum, which is located in a 19th century palace, the Agdal and Menara Gardens, and the 12th century Koutoubia Mosque, which prevails the city. We will also explore the kingdom of Bahia and Bedii, and the quarters of tanners and dyers. We will get to enjoy an afternoon of relaxation after we visit the Jamaa El Fna square, which is the home for spice vendors, storytellers, snake charmers, fire eaters, acrobats, musicians and much more entertainment and enjoyments. We will then return to the Riad for the night .
Day 9 : Leaving to the airport
We will journey to the airport at the appointed time, which will conclude our adventure.
